Mix some baking soda with come club soda and pour some on the stain. It will foam and bubble quite a bit. This is a good thing as it means that this foaming is working at the stain and separating it from the fibers. Let this work for a few minutes and then blot at it again with a clean rag. Do not smear or wipe at it.
